I feel like this video is true. We are all too involved in social media and our technology that we are becoming less social, and we are missing out on life. Everyone is too obsessed with being seen as cool or having a good time online that they aren't focused on enjoying what they are actually doing. Kids are attached to technology because they've grown up with it. Instead of playing tag or something they are playing on their ipads or something. I completely agree with what this video said.

What is a 'splash page'? Look it up. Explain what they are and how they are used. Find an example of a splash page in Google Images. Save the image to you computer and then upload it to your blog post. Hint - see below.

A splash page is a page of a website that you first see before going to the main content of the website. They are used to promote a company or a product. It can also be a way to keep your website restricted with making people have to log in to get to the main page. It is also occasionally used as a loading page for websites and other things like that.
They usually have attention grabbing things like pictures or sound and sometimes links to get to the main content page, or it just goes to the main page automatically. It is basically an introduction page for a website.

Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is. Do you agree or disagree with the writer?

I think that this is true. He is trying to say that it's not equations and all that stuff that is important in school; it's the teaching of how to overcome adversity. "The main event" of school is teaching you how to handle tough situations and to not give up. I agree that that is what high school should be teaching as "the main event," but I don't exactly believe that it's what all the teachers are trying to teach us. If that is what all teachers are trying to teach us, they are not doing a very good job. I do believe that they should be teaching us this though.

Status update! Tell me where  you are at on your product website? Can you be finished by tomorrow at the end of the hour? Do you need more time? How much more time? Be honest and explain yourself.

I am almost finished with my product website. I have pictures on all pages. I have started going back and typing some information on each page. I have about 4 or 5 of those done. I think I could be done by tomorrow at the end of class, but I'm not one hundred percent sure because I just remembered that I need a reference page.

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

It was fine. While my parents and brother went to Mexico, I stayed home the entire time. I watched a lot of Netflix, and finished a lot of Dexter. I also read Allegiant, which had a terrible ending. I baked a little bit. I hung out with people. That is about all I did over my spring break. I mainly just watched Dexter on Netflix. Yesterday, I watched all three High School Musicals that were on Disney. That's what I did over spring break.

Do you like the layout of this project? Have you benefited from your brainstorming sheet? Was it more helpful or annoying when starting to map out your website? Explain why.

I like the layout of this project. I have benefited from the brainstorming sheet. It was very helpful, because I had an idea of what I was going to do instead of just winging it like I usually do. I think it really benefited my website and made my index look good.

After reading below to see where you should be on your product website - are you caught up? What helps you stay caught up in class? Do you like having small checkpoints? Are you behind? If so, what are you going to do to get caught up? What you should have completed so far on your product website:Brainstorming packet Establish folder and website in Dreamweaver Wire frame the site with tables or div tags Create a header/logo in Photoshop Insert and design footer navigation and information Today you will: Begin inserting main content on to your index Think about what is going to keep someone interested on your site Tomorrow you will: Add a drop down menu to your site! You need have a designated placeholder for your drop down menu. Either a row of a column or a div tag.

I am basically caught up. The only thing I don't have is my footer, but after that I am done with my index page. Being able to have days to just work helps me keep caught up in this class. I like having small checkpoints, because they let me know that I'm on track. I have my header, my background, a wire frame and all of my picture and stuff on the index. I just need the footer.
